Summer Fun | Fruit Bath | 3E Photography

As a family photographer based in Paso Robles, California you know it gets HOT here! As the summer is upon us the hot sunny days have filled the calendar. With the heat we are either in the house with the AC on or outside doing something with water because it is just so hot.

As a mom with three kiddos and a passion for photography what do I do with my spare time in the heat.... I plan a personal photo session of course!

I had decided I wanted to do something fun to capture the summer so why not a fruit bath for my daughter. I told the kids as I got tons of fruit and the boys wanted to join in the fun, so.... Why not!

The kids had fun tasting all the different fruit while I had fun watching the faces they made tasting them! Watching them giggle and splash means the world to me! Having these moments captured is everything! I can't wait to get my album finished and relive a fun day we shared in the heat of summer.

Paso Robles Family Photographer | McGillivary Family Session

It was a brisk morning in Atascadero, California. The sun was warm and the clouds had just disappeared from the sky. I got to meet with a friend who I meet four years earlier a lifetime ago it seamed...

Four years ago, Jessica and I had our first baby bumps and had joined our local prenatal yoga class. It was so powerful to be around women going through the same thing. As the weeks went on our bellies grew bigger and we got to know each other better. We dedicated time each week to gaining knowledge of what the future would hold and preparing us mentally and physically for childbirth and motherhood.

When I meet with Jessica and her family to capture her first family pictures I was so excited to hear about her life since it has been so long since that we got to catch up! Our babies are not babies anymore! They all had grown and things were again different in our lives. Her daughters were so adorable and had such wonderful personalities, a mama's girl and a daddy's girl. Is that not perfect or what! Grace was so sweet twirling and dancing in the green grass. I was truly honored to capture all the smiles and love they had for each other.

Jessica and Alex thank you for letting me capture your first professional family photos. It means the world to me! I hope that your family will treasure your memories created for a lifetime and look upon them with joy on your faces! I know that your girls are growing up fast and hope these images will preserve this time in your life that can go by in a instant.

Paso Robles Rotary Club | Annual Crab Feed | 3E Event Photography

On March 10, 2018 at the Beautiful Windfall Farms, I had the pleasure of photographing The 18th Annual Crab Feed for the Rotary club of Paso Robles Sunrise.

This year a new sponsor's table decorating contest had guests getting really creative with there displays. It was buzzing with lots of people enjoying all you can eat food with crab as the main dish. The entertainment from Class Act Dance was an amazing performance of young talent. There was a silent auction as well as a few live auctions. Those live auctions are so exciting to watch and be a part of! There Wagon of Cheer raffle was a huge hit again, because who wouldn't want a Wagon of Cheer... the name says it all!

If you are up for all you can eat crab and a great time be on the lookout next year for there annual crab feed. You can go to there website here to see when the next event will be hosted.

Thank you Jocelyn Baer and The Rotary Club for letting me capture your event. Thank you for all that you do and all the support to our community! I had a great time and got some great items from your auctions!

Easy glitter ornament | How to | Paso Robles Family Photographer

A step by step for these easy glitter ornament that I made with my 3 kids.

Glitter ornament Paso Robles Family Photos

My daughters speech therapist came over and said she had a fun craft to do with the kids. She pulled out this really fun glitter ornament she made. It was a really simple project that was not a huge mess. (Bonus!) The twins and I made these and they loved getting to pick out the color of glitter they wanted their ornament to be. Twirling them around was the highlight of it all for them. I knew my older son would be a little upset he did not make one, and lets face it I can't have two ornaments from the twins and not have one he made on our tree too! I had all the items ready when he got home. I decided to document it for you here because it really is a simple but cute ornament for you to have or gift to a grandparent.

What you need:

  1. Plastic ornaments
  2. Elmers glue
  3. Glitter 1 or 2 colors per ornament

Step one: Take the top off of the ornament and put glue inside. I did not measure but quite a bit was used. (You can always add more)

Step two: Add any color glitter you would like and I also just eyeballed it. We did two colors per ornament and it was quite a lot of glitter. A tablespoon I'd say.

Step three: Next is the fun part for the kids. You put the top on and have them twirl the ornament around in their hands and the glue glitter coats the inside of it. (Caution if the glue and glitter are not mixed up the glitter can come out the top so watch your kiddos while spinning.)

Step four: Let dry 24-48 hours depending on how much glue you used. Then hang and enjoy!

Optional: You can write their name, the year and even tie a cute ribbon on top to hang it from.

I hope you and your kids enjoy this as much as our family did! Happy holidays from my family to yours!

Paso Robles Family Photographer | Maternity Session | Mariah and Shinon

It was a warmer than usual evening in Paso Robles, CA. It was a cloudy almost overcast day but the warm sun made you forget it was winter.  As the session started, I could tell that these two were in love! The way they smiled and were beaming to talk about there newest addition joining them in early January. They were in love with becoming parents and looking to their future together as a family!

They brought their four legged child with them who was full of energy and a social bug. Ripley was happy to be following along and enjoy the sun as much as we did. As the day continued on I could feel the love they had for each other. The way they interacted and the constant smiles on their faces was so infections it made me smile more. I'm so glad to have

captured this special moment for them before their lives change.

Mariah and Shinon, I can see the love you have for each other is so big it will be spilling over to your baby. You both have adventurous spirits and have a beautiful perspective for your future. I can't wait for you two to become parents, for you to know the love you feel for your little boy will be like no other. The good times and the hard times, together you will make it through and forever be changed and better because of it all. Children are the greatest gift!  I can't wait for you to experience that for yourselves!

Paso Robles Family Photographer | Natalie, Poly and Giovanni Family Session

A little while back I got to take part in a fun morning session in Paso Robles, CA with a great family. The sun was just coming up, peeking from the horizon. They showed up ready with smiles on their faces. Their little boy, didn't have the same joy on his face. His had a serious face, deep in thought. You could tell he was analyzing and thinking the whole time we were together. If this were a comic book you would see a bubble forming over his head "What am I doing in this place? When I usually get up I'm at home."

Mendoza and Velazquez Family Session | Paso Robles Family Photographer

This family session was such a joy to capture in Paso Robles, CA. This family of three was celebrating their most precious gift, this handsome little guy turning one!

This adorable little guy was such a fun happy boy! He was all giggles and was not camera shy at all, (thanks to his sweet cousin who came to play behind my camera). His parents beamed as they laughed and engaged with him. The ballons they brought really peaked his interest. He was so excited to watch, play and try to eat them.

Such a joy to my heart to capture such a fun family in a moment that is such a milestone in every parents life!

Happiest birthday wishes little boy. May the world be a amazing adventure for you!

Paso Robles Family Photographer | Harvey's Little Heroes

Paso Robles children photographer

Thank you all who came together in Paso Robles CA to raise money for the people affected and displaced by Hurricane Harvey. It was so fun to watch all the kids in their favorite costumes! I did want to highlight one session from the fundraiser.

This boy was the most excited little guy to put on his costume when he came to his session. It was pure joy to see him all dressed in his Optimus Prime costume and the proud look on his face.

Paso Robles children photographer

He was your typical boy a little shy at first in front of my camera but then we played a little bit and he got to show me his skills with jumping and his arm that played music and made awesome noises.

He really loved his time in his costume and was bummed to take it off when our session was over. How adorable is that!!

A "Hero" is defined as someone who is admired for having courage and being brave. If you missed it and feel like you'd love to be a hero, please give what you can! Below are a few links that will help other families across the globe.
